2011 seems to have gone by faster than any year previously, both personally and in my practice. My boys are growing quickly, and weeks slip by before I’ve had a chance to realize it!
We’ve had a great year full of successes at the firm, and I have had the pleasure of guiding many cases to outstanding conclusions. In that process, I’ve earned new friends as well. I am thankful for that.
I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting and being hired by many new clients, from personal injury to workers’ comp, fire loss, and bad faith claims. For that, too, I am thankful.
Lawyers have a tendency to put their head down and burrow through their work to the exclusion of all else, and I exhibit that trait as well. The law is a jealous mistress, it’s been said.
It’s time to take a few days, and look back in appreciation of all of the good fortune cast upon those that I represent, as well as myself and my family.
Thank you to each of my clients who have put their trust in me. Thank you to the incredible attorneys that I work with, and co-counsel with, for also putting your trust in me. Thank you to my family, for being patient with me!
2012 already seems to be poised for greatness. As each year passes, it seems that my “practice” of law becomes less of a labor and more of an art form. I hope to continue improving as an attorney, but also as a counselor to my clients. I know that when I am uncertain, I look to my friends and family for counsel and direction. I hope that I’m able to do that for those who seek it from me as well.
Merry Christmas to all, and a restful holiday season.
Gratefully,
Andrew M. Newcomb
